MPI Vision
 A cohesive and inclusive Myanmar built on the principles of federal democracy, where communities are resilient, governance is accountable, and local voices shape policy.

MPI Goal
 To strengthen inclusive, accountable governance and community resilience in Sagaing Region and the wider Dry Zone (Anyar), and to carry ground-level realities into regional and cross-border policy. We do this through political coordination, support for civil society and local systems, and India–Myanmar engagement.

MPI Objectives

1. Coalition-Building and Democratic Deepening
 Objective: Maintain inclusive political coordination and working interim policy channels, build an accountable and more stable subnational governance environment, and increase women's and youth participation in politics.
 What we do: We convene meetings, workshops and dialogue for actors from the dry zone and Sagaing. We give technical and accountability support to governance actors, and support regular sittings of interim planning offices. We also make small grants that strengthen women- and youth-led governance. 

2. Civil Society, Community Resilience and Local Systems
 Objective: Build the capacity of township-level civil society and governance actors, strengthen accountability, and restore community resilience in conflict- and climate-affected areas of the Dry Zone.
 What we do: We work with CSO/CBO networks and coach township governance actors through the problems they face. We map stakeholders and services so communities know where to get help. We support village and township bodies to manage shared resources such as seed banks, communal land and aid distribution, with women making up at least half of participants. We also mentor local research partners in policy and data analysis.

3. India–Myanmar Initiatives
 Objective: Bring the realities of Myanmar's western borderlands into India's policy thinking, and build lasting channels between Indian policy actors and Myanmar's regional stakeholders.
 What we do: We hold India–Myanmar Track 2 dialogues with Indian think tanks, former diplomats and policy actors. These dialogues bring in voices from Kachin, Sagaing/Anyar, Chin and Arakan.
